Sharing is nice

So last night while watching the O.C., the Creature From Within was apparently participating in the baby olympics, perhaps energized by me eating one of John's grandmother's molasses and raisin cookies. Seemed like as good a time as any to try once again to see if John could feel it moving from the outside. And a good time it was. While there were many little movements that John didn't notice, there were a couple really fabulous kicks that he distinctly could tell was the baby. The look on his face was priceless. He seemed a bit stunned and declared it to be a little freaky. I whole-heartedly agreed.

How exciting! It gets better. Just wait until you are standing there (or sitting) and everyone can see your ENTIRE belly move to the side. Or the hiccups that make your belly move. Or the foot that you can feel push out and it STAYS out. So you push it back in, and then it pushes out again.

It is so incredible, isn't it?

It is incredibly weird, is what it is. There is something living inside of me!! I just can't get over that.

Someone told me a story about when she was reading the paper once and the baby kept kicking and making the newspaper move.
